b & w

I want to get back to my basics of blogging.  The real stuff.  I'm a bit nervous.  There has been some unkind words in the land of internet I have come across.

Some days I want to live in my bubble.  It is safe and happy.  Few I know know this.  They are treasures to me.

We made a tee-pee last night.  Curtain rails ready for the fire - rescued.  My knuckles bleeding as I cut down some thin, spindly trees.  Fabric taken from the stash to adorn the top of our creation.  The vine was not strong enough.

I like this black and white.  Do you?

Rach xx

  1. I love black and white. Heres one of my recent favs and the one next to it.

Its so much easier for people to be nasty on the internet, they don't need to answer to their behavior, they just say and go with no repercussions. Try not to take it on board

  2. I love my bubble too. Beautiful black and white pics, curious jar arrangement.

  3. yes, black and white is so true. i haven't read the nasty (lucky, oblivious me!), but i wish it wasn't there. have a sweet week :)sarah

  4. Gorgeous in black and white, Rach. It was my first love in photography way back in my film and photo paper and developer days.

Mean people suck. That's all there is to say about that. And I believe in karma. What goes around comes around. I've met so many wonderful, encouraging, kind people on the internet (and I'm sure you have, too) that being in a bubble would have made impossible. Nasty comments say a lot about the commenter and not very much about the person being commented upon.

Sending hugs and good thoughts to you today!!

Oh, and I love your market photos. Your stall looked so beautiful with the pops of yellow! Wish I could have seen it in person!

  5. Hi! I enjoyed your black and white photos. I remember when that's all we had were black and white photos and it's so rare to see this type of photography. Absolutely beautiful. People that make negative comments have personal issues. Don't take it personally. To put yourself out there for all to see is to risk criticism, but if you don't risk criticism you risk being nothing. The photos you share are wonderful! Thank you! Sending you hugs, Valda
